Kuala Lumpur, 10 June 2017 – In the excitement for Muslims in making preparations to celebrate Hari Raya Aidil Fitri approaching soon, the orphans from Pertubuhan Baitul Kasih Wilayah Persekutuan & Selangor had not been forgotten to equally feel and experience the excitement of preparing Hari Raya celebration as any other children.
FOMEMA Sdn. Bhd. and 17 employees today share the joy together with 35 orphans from Pertubuhan Baitul Kasih buying Baju Raya through its Ramadhan CSR Programme with a theme set #SepasangBajuRayaMembawaSeribuMakna.”
The excitement can be seen from the faces of these children when they were given the opportunity to go out and buy Baju Raya according to their own likings this year just like any other children. It is not something usual for orphans at Baitul Kasih to have the opportunity to choose and by new Baju Raya every time Hari Raya comes. On this day, each one orphans from Baitul Kasih are given the opportunity to choose a pair of baju melayu or baju kurung, Songkok, Sampin and a matching shoes to be worn on Hari Raya later.
YM Tengku Abu Bakar Ahmad Bin Tengku Abdullah FOMEMA Board Member who were present at the programme said, “Sepasang Baju Raya FOMEMA Programme is initiated in conjunction with Ramadhan, a month full of blessings where Muslims are encouraged to do good deeds and charity for those in need. Starting this year, FOMEMA Ramadhan CSR will be held as yearly programme with the selected different orphanage homes to be participated each year”.
“Praise to Allah S.W.T, with positive collaboration received from Customer Relations Department Mydin Mall, the preparation and arrangement of FOMEMA Baju Raya programme run smoothly for the first year. We hope that this Ramadhan initiative will expand with more participation of orphanage homes in the future. Although for all of us, it may be just a small thing to have a pair of baju raya, but it could be very privilege for these children who are less fortunate and have lost their loved ones. Kuala Lumpur, 09 June 2017 – In celebrating the spirit of blessed month Ramadhan, FOMEMA celebrates two orphanage homes by hosting Majlis Iftar Kasih Ramadhan through its annual Ramadhan CSR Programme on the 14 days of Muslims observing Ramadhan. To have something different this Ramadhan, the company invited two orphanage homes from Rumah Amal Asnaf Al Barakh and Rahoma Darul Fakir.
The annual Ramadhan CSR Programme that graced by Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Arif Bendahara Pahang, Tengku Tan Sri Abdullah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Sir Abu Bakar, Chairman of FOMEMA Sdn. Bhd were attended by 89 orphans, VIP guests, corporate clients and employees of FOMEMA Sdn. Bhd.
The blessed ceremony was held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Kuala Lumpur began with the opening speech by Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail the President / Chief Executive Officer FOMEMA Sdn. Bhd. and giving ‘Duit Raya’ ceremony to the orphans by Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Arif Bendahara Pahang. The programme then continued with all the guests breaking fast and performing Maghrib, Isyak and Terawikh prayers.
Speaking at the event, Dato’ Mohd Hatar says “FOMEMA and the Management of the company are delighted to organise this Ramadhan Programme and Praise to Allah S.W.T we have the opportunity to host Majlis Iftar Kasih Ramadhan again this year. This Ramadhan CSR Programme has been one of the Company’s traditions every year during Ramadhan to give back to the community, to spread and share happiness and bring joy in the lives of these less fortunate orphans, especially in the observance of this full of barakah Ramadhan.
“Celebrating this special month of Ramadhan with the orphans is so meaningful for us. Ramadhan has always been the time for us to reflect upon ourselves, be grateful for the blessings in life and to give help to those in need. As we strive to achieve success it is also our duty as Muslims to remember and aid those who are less fortunate. It is our responsibility in embracing the spirit of compassion and generosity, and making sure the less fortunate are not side-lined from the Ramadan celebrations.
