DEADLINE TO SUBMIT WORK PERMIT APPLICATIONS UNDER AMNESTY (6P) PROGRAMME.

Kindly be informed that the Immigration Department (JIM) has announced for all employers who have yet to submit their Foreign Worker's application for work permit or temporary employment pass (PLKS) under the 6P Programme have until 31st May 2013 to do so.

Please ensure your workers have undergone the FOMEMA medical examination because JIM will not accept any application for work permit under the 6P Programme after the deadline.

NOTIFICATION OF COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

The Director-General of Health has issued a Circular Bil 3/2009 stating that effective 16th February 2009, the examining doctor has to notify the nearest District Health Office when he/she detects the following communicable diseases during the medical examination of the foreign workers. The Health Notice 1 rev. 2005 form should be used for the notification of the following diseases:

i.Hepatitis B

ii.HIV

iii.Syphilis

iv.Tuberculosis (X Ray findings-active or old/inactive PTB)

v.Malaria

vi.Leprosy

Failure on the part of the examining doctor to notify the above diseases to the nearest District Health Office will result in action being taken against them by the Health Officers under Section 10 (2) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.

Please be informed that our FOMEMA Wilayah Persekutuan (WP) Kuala Lumpur branch has started its operations at

Solaris Dutamas on 23rd April 2012. All Registrations of Foreign Workers for the Medical Examination can be done at our new branch location.

However, matters or enquiries relating to the outcome of the FOMEMA medical examinations and / or Appeal cases must still be made at our FOMEMA Headquarters in Hampshire Place Office.

NEW DIRECTIVE FROM THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH (MOH), MALAYSIA

For information panel doctors and employers,

This is to advise that the Ministry of Health (MOH), Malaysia has directed that the following conditions which were previously not allowed for appeal can now be appealed:-

1. Positive urine drugs test; and

2. Positive urine pregnancy test.

However, VDRL positive and TPHA positive cases cannot be appealed.

The above directive is to be implemented with immediate effect.

ARAHAN TERBARU DARIPADA KEMENTERIAN KESIHATAN MALAYSIA(KKM)

Untuk makluman doktor panel dan pihak majikan,

Pihak Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia telah mengeluarkan arahan bahawa semua keputusan ujian saringan pemeriksaan perubatan berikut yang sebelumnya tidak boleh dirayu, adalah dibenarkan untuk membuat rayuan:-

1. Ujian urin untuk dadah didapati positif; dan

2. Ujian urin untuk kehamilan didapati positif

Walaubagaimanapun, keputusan ujian saringan pemeriksaan perubatan yang didapati positif VDRL dan positif TPHA tidak dibenarkan untuk membuat rayuan.

INCREASE OF ANNUAL QUOTA FOR DOCTORS

Effective 1st February 2011, the Ministry of Health Malaysia has agreed to increase the quota from 500 to 700 foreign workers per year for each clinic in relation to the medical examination of Foreign Workers.

When the quota has been achieved, the clinic would not be allowed to examine additional Foreign Workers for that year.

KENAIKAN KUOTA TAHUNAN UNTUK DOKTOR

Berkuatkuasa mulai 1 Februari 2011, Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia telah bersetuju untuk menaikkan kuota setiap klinik yang menawarkan perkhidmatan pemeriksaan perubatan Pekerja Asing dari 500 ke 700 orang setahun.

Klinik yang telah memenuhi had kuota tidak akan dibenarkan untuk menjalankan pemeriksaan perubatan Pekerja Asing bagi tahun tersebut.

NO REFUND POLICY

Please take note that effective 16th June 2008; the medical examination fees of RM180 (male) and RM190 (female) are NOT refundable if the medical examination is not conducted within 90 days from the registration date.

However, as long as it is still within 90 days of the registration date, employers and agents have the option of substituting with a new foreign worker of the same gender. A processing fee of RM20 will be charged for each substitution. Other conditions and fees may be applicable depending on the respective case.

POLISI PEMBAYARAN BALIK

Sila ambil perhatian bahawa bermula 16hb Jun 2008 bayaran pemeriksaan kesihatan berjumlah RM180 (lelaki) dan RM190 (perempuan) TIDAK akan dikembalikan sekiranya pemeriksaan kesihatan tidak dilakukan dalam tempoh 90 hari dari tarikh pendaftaran.

Walaubagaimanapun, dalam tempoh 90 hari dari tarikh pendaftaran, majikan atau ajen mempunyai pilihan untuk menggantikan dengan pekerja asing yang baru dari jantina yang sama. Yuran Pemprosesan sebanyak RM20 akan dikenakan bagi setiap penggantian. Syarat & yuran yang lain mungkin akan dikenakan tertakluk kepada kes-kes tertentu.
